The season kicked off with Ted standing in the middle of a classroom - although the mother was present, it turned out not to be the architecture class he would consistently teach, but instead an economics class. It is revealed that Barney and Robin have had a sexual relationship throughout the summer. After being locked in a room and forced to have 'the talk', the two finally come to terms with their relationship.
