The Marriage Ref

 

 The Marriage Ref is a reality television series hosted by comedian Tom Papa. The premise of the show involves real life couples who have been having an on-going fight for a long time. A video clip is shown to the three-member celebrity panel, showing both sides of the argument. The celebrity panel (consisting of recently married, recently divorced, or those with long histories of relationship success or failure) then discuss the merits of each side of the argument and vote on who they think is right. In addition to the celebrity panel, there is also a celebrity fact checker who can provide additional information to aid in the decision making. In the episode with Madonna, for instance, Maria Menounos fills this role. Though the Marriage Ref may take their advice, he is free to make up his own mind about who is right.

Carling Cup Final 2010: Aston Villa vs Manchester United

 

Wayne Rooney was the Carling Cup final head boy as Manchester United came from behind to retain a knockout competition for the first time with a 2-1 victory over Aston Villa. After starting as a substitute, Rooney was only on the pitch because of an injury to Michael Owen, who had levelled James Milner's fourth-minute penalty.

Wayne Bridge made a point, then left with all three as Manchester City blew the Premier League title race wide open once more by hammering nine-man Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. In the end, there was no mass boycott of the traditional pre-match handshake by City players, just an icy stare from Bridge as he refused to shake Terry's hand.
It was perhaps the most predictable part of a truly astonishing afternoon that exploded into life once Frank Lampard had put the hosts in front just before the break.

UEFA Champions League: Inter Milan vs Chelsea 2010.02.24

 

Chelsea grabbed a vital away goal as former boss Jose Mourinho and his Inter Milan side came out on top in a pulsating Champions League first-leg at the San Siro. Chelsea, whose defeat was compounded by the loss of goalkeeper Petr Cech with a calf injury in the second half, were a goal down inside three minutes when striker Diego Milito put Mourinho's side ahead.

Salomon Kalou equalised in the 51st minute but Inter restored their advantage four minutes later when Esteban Cambiasso drilled in the winner.

The program was created by long-time producer Don Hewitt who set it apart by using a unique style of reporter-centered investigation. 2010 BRIT Awards

 

The 2010 BRIT Awards took place on 16th February at Earls Court Exhibition Centre in London and were hosted by comedian Peter Kay. The ceremony was broadcast live on ITV. Robbie Williams performed and received an Outstanding Contribution to Music Award. It was the 30th occasion on which the British music awards ceremony were staged (although not all were under the BRIT awards name)

Lukasz Fabianski's costly blunders left Arsenal trailing 2-1 after the first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash against Porto at Estadio do Dragao.The Polish goalkeeper, deputising for the injured Manuel Almunia, was caught out of position to gift Porto an early lead, before then picking up a back-pass which led to another goal at the start of the second half. Atletico have had plenty of disappointing nights at the Vicente Calderon this season but this was one to remember as early goals from Diego Forlan and Simao Sabrosa earned them their third successive home win over Barca in La Liga.
Barca pulled a goal back through Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the first half but they could not find an equaliser and they waved goodbye to their unbeaten record.

The Amazing Race Season 16

 

The Amazing Race 16 is the upcoming sixteenth installment of the reality television show The Amazing Race. The Amazing Race 16 will feature several teams of two, each with a pre-existing relationship, in a race around the world. The upcoming sixteenth season spans 40,000 miles (64,000 km) across five continents and nine countries, including Chile, France, England, and for the first time, Seychelles.

Notable cast members include Big Brother 11 houseguests Jordan Lloyd and Jeff Schroeder, 2007 Miss South Carolina Teen USA Caite Upton, and Cleveland Indians third-base coach Steve Smith. Caite, at age 20, is the youngest contestant in the show's history (not including the Family Edition which included several younger racers), while Jody Kelly, at age 71, is the oldest contestant in the show's history. Other racers include cowboys, detectives, a lesbian couple, high school sweethearts, and attorney moms.

The 2010 Winter Olympics, officially the XXI Olympic Winter Games or the 21st Winter Olympics, is a major international multi-sport event held on February 12–28, 2010, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, with some events held in the resort town of Whistler, British Columbia and in the Vancouver suburbs of Richmond, West Vancouver and the University Endowment Lands. Both the Olympic and Paralympic Games are being organized by the Vancouver Organizing Committee (VANOC). EPL: Aston Villa vs Manchester United 2010.02.10

 

Manchester United collected a valuable point in the Premier League title race as they drew 1-1 with Aston Villa despite losing Nani to a red card that will rule him out of the Carling Cup final.

Nani was deservedly sent off for a poor first-half challenge on Stiliyan Petrov but it made little difference to the visitors, who dominated for long periods.
United might have been fortunate to survive a late Villa penalty appeal when John Carew went down under Jonny Evans' tackle, but it would have been harsh luck on Sir Alex Ferguson's men, who will regard it as a point gained rather than two lost after James Collins scored another own goal for United to cancel out Carlos Cuellar's opener.

Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains will be the twentieth season of the American TV series Survivor."Heroes vs. Villains" will feature ten former Survivors known for their integrity, the Heroes, and ten former Survivors known for their deception, the Villains.Jeff Probst, the show's host, stated that while they wanted to do another season where they brought back former players for the show's 10-year anniversary and 20th cycle, they did not want to do another All-Stars season; on reflecting of the most popular players, they realized that these players were either seen as heroes or villains for those respective seasons, and opted to use that as the theme for this season. According to Probst, the production initially selected 50 players from the past seasons, paring those down to twenty and keeping one spot open for a possible player from Survivor: Samoa. Some selections were made to match players that production thought would be exciting to see, according to casting director Lynne Spillman.[4] While the players have been classified as Heroes or Villains, Survivor's creator Mark Burnett does not expect these players to maintain these roles in the game, and to do what they need to survive to the end. Rather than the usual slogan "Outwit, Outplay, Outlast", the slogan for this season is "Return, Revenge, Redemption". All challenges in this season will be based on challenges used in previous seasons.

The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards took place on January 31, 2010. CBS broadcasted the event, which took place again at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Neil Young was honored as the 2010 MusiCares Person of the Year on January 29.

Beyoncé Knowles lead the nominees with ten nominations. Other nominees include Taylor Swift with eight and Black Eyed Peas, Maxwell, Kanye West with six nominations, and David Guetta, Jay-Z and Lady Gaga with five nominations. Colbie Caillat, Kings of Leon, Bruce Springsteen, T-Pain, and Keith Urban each received four nominations.

Eminem became the Hip-Hop Artist with the highest number of Grammy Awards winning 2 in the ceremony which makes a total of 11 Grammy Awards for him.Beyoncé set a new record for most Grammy Awards won by a female artist in a single night with six. Taylor Swift won four, while Black Eyed Peas won three.

Taylor Swift's Fearless was awarded the Grammy Award for Album of the Year, Swift's first Album of the Year award in her career. "Use Somebody" by rock band Kings of Leon won the Grammy Award for Record of the Year, while "Single Ladies" by songwriters Thaddis Harrell, Beyoncé Knowles, Terius Nash and Christopher Stewart, was named Song of the Year.
