Top Gear will return for a 17th series, to be aired on BBC Two and BBC HD, on 26 June 2011, with the usual presenting team of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May and The Stig. During the 2011 F1 Monaco GP, BBC has shown a small clip where the boys are driving in the Monaco circuit with 3 Hot Hatches and 3 F1 Stars: Clarkson in a Citröen DS3 Racing with Bernie Ecclestone, May in a Renault Clio RS with Flavio Briatore and Hammond in an Abarth 500C esseesse with Christian Horner. Also, the 17th series, as claimed in the July 2011 edition of the Top Gear magazine, will feature a review of the McLaren MP4-12C; May tests the new Aston Martin Virage, the boys try to build a steam train, Clarkson tests a Jaguar XK-RS against a Nissan GT-R, a surprise current F1 driver becomes the Star in the Reasonably Priced Car, and the presenters try to buy as good a used car as possible for a sum equal to the cost of the Nissan Pixo, the cheapest car on sale in Britain. In the episode one post-show discussion, they announced Simon Cowell will be returning for a third visit and exclusively revealed that Rowan Atkinson was going to come as a guest.
